Hello, members! Like the weather, we’re experiencing change at IFCC. As the new General Manager, I am looking forward to serving you and the club. I have been fortunate to be a member here since 2012, and now I get the opportunity to lead an amazing staff at a place I have loved for the last 6 years. This place holds a special place for me and my wife as we’ve watched our kids learn the game of golf right here on these grounds with our incredible pro staff.

I hope you will take time to come and visit with me and discuss this place that we all care so much about. Whether it be about your favorite meal here or your least favorite tree on the course, I am here to listen to you. I can’t promise that Josh will take the tree down, but I can promise that your voice will be heard! See you at the course.

Nick Orgill, CPA

CONTROLLER

Recounting a round of golf, baseball Hall of Famer George Brett once said “I was 3-over – one over a house, one over a patio, and one over a swimming pool.” If you’ve ever seen Nick Orgill play a round of golf you may have thought he was counting the same way. Nick joined the IFCC staff as controller in 2014, and though his golf game may be a bit erratic, his bean counting skills are tremendous. Born and raised in Idaho Falls, his passion for baseball shaped much of his early life. After graduating from Idaho Falls High School and serving an LDS mission in northern Spain, Nick was recruited to play baseball at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah. He graduated from Dixie with a degree in accounting while finishing his baseball career. Nick found success both on and off the field during his playing days. He was named Student of the Year for the business/accounting department, a two-time recipient of the NCAA Academic Achievement Award, an Academic All-American, and the Dixie State College Baseball Player of the Year. After graduation Nick returned to Idaho Falls and worked for a regional CPA firm, Galusha, Higgins & Galusha. During his 5 years at GHG Nick was licensed as a CPA while working in both the taxation and auditing departments. Nick and his lovely wife Mindy are the parents of 5 children. And for the sake of those on the golf course let’s hope the kids learn to hit straight like their mom.

Chris Ellis

DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Chris@ifcountryclub.com

Born and raised here in Idaho Falls, I spent my youth playing sports. I participated in baseball, football, but found my true talent and passion for soccer.

As an adult, I spend much of my free time with my family. I have a beautiful fiancée name Stephanie, three wonderful stepchildren, I can also claim an outstanding young man from a previous relationship. The boys and I enjoy being out on the golf course together, while the girls spend the day in the salon. When Stephanie and I have time together, we usually spend it adventuring on the motorcycle.

When I was 16, I took my first job as a bus-boy at O’Callahan’s Restaurant inside the Shilo Inn, and so began my love for the restaurant industry. I worked at O’Callahan’s for 3 years and when I turned 19 I took a position with Texas Roadhouse as a Server. I quickly moved up the ranks to become a trainer, bartender, key hourly employee and in 2006 was offered a salaried Manager Position with the company in St. George, UT. I spent 14 months in Utah until I was offered the opportunity to come back home and take over as the Kitchen Manager here in Idaho Falls. In 2010 I decided to leave the restaurant and pursue a career in the oil and gas industry. I spent 4 years working in western Wyoming and North Dakota.

While I truly enjoyed my new career, I was struggling with being away from my family for extended periods of time and decided to come back home. I was hired on with Applebee’s and spent three years as the Kitchen Manager. In 2017 I was recruited by and offered a position with Red Robin. I spent a year as an Assistant Manager there until the opportunity was presented to me to apply as the Food and Beverage Director here at the Idaho Falls Country Club. I am extremely excited to be here and look forward to getting to know and develop a relationship with each and every one of you!

I look forward too many seasons of golf, events, and camaraderie. Thank you for an awesome place to work, and I look forward to seeing members around the Club.”
